Did my final training session tonight and produced a whopping 3.85km's which equates to 38.5 laps. Not bad seeing as how I haven't been on a treadmill for over 5 years before starting this 3 weeks ago. Thanks for all those who have donated and sponsored me and special thanks to my Mum who donated a healthy $50 last night and that took my total to $500 raised if I do 30 laps, so look like getting over my target for sure. In saying that, if anyone else is interested, it's not too late. Follow the instructions on the first post anytime before 8am tomorrow to make a difference. Once again, thanks everyone and especially Jalal for letting me post my request on the forum, it has made a healthy difference. Think of me tomorrow afternoon 3pm Brisbane time, luckily it's not going to be too hot.nondisclosed_email@example.com (BlackThunda)Thu, 25 Nov 2010 21:03:26 +0000 Re: Foxtel Corporate Lap Challengehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2048005,from=rss#post2048005https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2048005,from=rss#post2048005Thanks for the sponsorship Stephen (Loafer) really appreciated , it's building up nicely. It had uphills and downhills as well as flat sections and my time was 90mins. Using that as a guide then there are 140 x 100m in 14kms and my time was 3 x your 30mins allowance so I guess to be as fit as I am you should do atleast 46 "laps" on the treadmill. You think you can match me ? BTW, sponsorship of $1/lap has been sent. Good luck buddy.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Thu, 04 Nov 2010 05:59:04 +0000 Foxtel Corporate Lap Challengehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2047466,from=rss#post2047466https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2047466,from=rss#post2047466            Dear Xtrail Forum friends, I have joined the Treasury Casino & Hotel team in the 2010 FOXTEL Lap. That means I'll be swapping my suit for runners and working up a sweat, on a big stage in the middle of QLD. And why would I do this?? Well the FOXTEL Lap supports life saving child health research at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute. When kids are sick, people often take for granted that the doctors and nurses will know what to do to make them better. We forget that past research discoveries have made this possible. That's why the work of the Murdoch Children’s foundation is so important. To find cures for conditions affecting many Australian kids like cancer, allergies, diabetes and genetic disorders. Money I raise through the FOXTEL Lap will provide vital funding to bring bold, daring and innovative research ideas to life. I'll be running for 30 minutes on the Treasury Casino & Hotel treadmill to complete as many 100m laps as I can, on Friday 26 Nov, 2010 (3pm) in Queens Park, George st, Brisbane QLD. To support my run, you can either: 1. Make a straight donation (eg $50) 2. Sponsor my lap (eg $1 per lap). I'm aiming to run/walk/gasps my way through 25 laps or more and your per lap sponsorship will motivate me to run further! If you choose this option, you'll receive an email after I've completed the challenge with the final number of laps I ran. You can confirm your pledge at this time. To donate visit: Foxtel Lap. Click on ‘Sponsor a Runner’ and search for my name (Jamie Manning - Treasury Casino and Hotel – QLD) All donations over $2 are tax deductible. Please support my run to help kids live happier, healthier lives. Many thanks guys, Jamie nondisclosed_email@example.com (BlackThunda)Wed, 03 Nov 2010 20:14:08 +0000
