BCF have some pretty good deals on waeco and engel fridges if you're a BCF member (which is free to join).

Re: Which car fridge

The decision has been made. I've gone through Waeco seconds for a CF40 plus a waeco 25ltre ice box for the grand sum of $800.oo; just awaiting delivery. I reckon that size will hold whatever the two of us need either as a fridge for a day or as a freezer for longer periods using the ice box to keep things cool. Another factor was that anything bigger when full may be too heavy to move.

Anyhow keep the comments coming in because I'm sure that others may benefit from everyones ideas.

Re: Which car fridge

Glad to hear that Denn.
Sometimes comments, good or bad, can prolong the purchase of an item due to the fact that you start talking to yourself in your head, 'Am I buying the right fridge? what if Its not big enough?' etc:
You will be happy with the CF40, a good sized fridge.

I guess that sums it up pretty well - I've been doing that over a few things lately - even the choice of what car I would buy - then after settling on the X-trail whether to go for higher mileage and lower price - more features offset by an older vehicle. The list goes on ad-infinitum. There comes a point where a decision has to be made but I learned long ago that however that decision results never to regret the outcome but to think that you learned from it.

Re: Which car fridge

Have you seen the new range of car fridges Techniice has launched? I bought a 45l car fridge freezer and I must say it is quite impressive. Here is the link to their new car fridge range:
