Hey Stephen,
Are you planning on getting the cross bars for the hyper rails to carry loads?
I wonder if it is the same load capacity of the standard roof racks.

They won't be Tony. It's the same case with the T30 hyper rails. They're rated at 10Kg less than the stand-alone roof racks.

G'day Tony

I've been reading up in UK forums where their members have attached cross bars. I'm hoping that Nissan Aust may be able to help me, otherwise I'll be asking Jalal the great to see if he can source something emoticon

There doesn't appear to be any indication on the inside to the rails where the cross bars would attach, so I'm hoping that there are suitable anchor points in under the plastic covers. When I get some spare time to myself (and have access to the exy) I'll check it out. More than anything, I'll be attaching the roof pod for aero dynamics and carrying of light bulky things.

Re:

Hi Stephen,

Save your money mate and just fabricate a couple of aluminium cross bars for your hyper rails. I paid a premium price for mine only to find-out that they're nothing more than 2 straight pieces of cross bars with one hole on each end for the bolt to go through and attached to the base of the hyper rails. The only advantage of buying them from Nissan is that they include a template for you to make a cut on the side of the hyper rails for these cross bars to go through. You can ask any of the UK guys to send you this template.

Anyway, here is the information you need for the roof racks that suit the hyper rails:

Part Number: KE732-JG010 (cross bar kit)

Price: 120 GBP (pounds) which is around $190.00AUD (not bad actually)

Here are photos of them in the box:

Fitting instructions:

Pics of them fitted on a T31 exy with hyper rails:

A pic of a T31 exy with hyper roof rails and the Thule luggage box, by the way these cross bars are made by Thule as well but they only sell them to Nissan.

Hope this helps emoticon

Re: T31 Hyper Roof Rails WITH Lights (aftermarket accessory)

Thanks Jalal. T'will be a project for next year, methinks.

I'm also thinking of going your way re wiring the hyper lights. Since I replaced the front bumper, the stalk switch for the fog lights is available (ie the fog lights were removed), so I'd like to use it for the hyper lights.

Re: T31 Hyper Roof Rails WITH Lights (aftermarket accessory)

A hyper roof rails for T31? That's nice.
In my country there's no aftermarket hyper roof rails for Exy. The only Exy with hyper roof rails is the XT (Xtremer) version.

Re:

You sure, mate?
I can't imagine an Autech with hyper roof rails.
I think it would make my Exy look funny.
