Re:

I doubt that's correct mate. Get your installer to send you a photo of the metal brackets with the covers taken off.

Re: T31 Hyper Roof Rails WITH Lights (aftermarket accessory)

Hi all
I am from the UK and found this thread, I hope you dont mind me gate crashing!

I just bought some second hand Hyper rails to fit to our 2003 T30, he's given me everything 2x Relays (one for the engine bay, one by the dash), switches, and two small looms to go from the light unit to join the existing loom inside the car.

I have some quick questions which hopefully you can help with..

1: Will the rest of the loom defiantly be there as I don't want to get half way through and realise some of the loom is missing?

2: I was told after buying them from another person that the roof is a slightly different shape so they wont fit if your car does not come with these factory fitted. is this true?

Thanks in advance

Re:

Hi Mate,

If you bought the hyper rails from a T31 model then they won't fit your T30 X-Trail, as the size of the 2 cars is completely different. If however you bought them from another T30 model like yours, they will fit perfectly fine with no problems.

None of the wiring will be there and circuitry and wiring for the hyper rails lights would need to be established from scratch by an auto electrician who must hook them up to operate with the high beam and on a separate switch.

P.S. More information on the T30 model hyper rails can be found in THIS thread.

As the original post in the linked Hyper Roof Rails thread was back in 2007, it might be safe to assume the contact might not be around anymore.
Best if you contact a Nissan Spares department and get the part number for the rails then do some internet searching to see what you can find, or search the local wrecking yards for a T30 ST which has them fitted.
