Re:

None left unfortunately but if you seriously want them I can contact the manufacturer to see if they can ship a set to you. Send me a message through the Online Shop and we'll take it from there.

Re: T31 Hyper Roof Rails WITH Lights (aftermarket accessory)

Hi guys,

I had bought a set of hyper rails from Jalal last year and have yet to put them on due to lack of time and also I was waiting for a few more things to be put on at the same time.

Am ready now to put these on the x-trail but I am finding it hard for a place to touch this installation.

I do understand reading through the past posts that the roof lining does not have to come off a long with a few other things, but I'd just like to instil some confidence in the people I am asking that it has been done and without any interior panel casualties. Also worries me that they are talking about not being confident in taking the interior panels off and also to not trigger the side airbags (I have a 2012 TL).

Does anyone in Melbourne have these installed? I'd really like to know who in Melbourne is willing to give this a shot.

Anyone with any advice on this would be awesome.

Re:

Your best bet would be to get one of the local smash repair shops or auto shops to get in touch with Scot's installer in Brisbane and get them to speak to them before they commit to the job. That's what I have done when I had them fitted in Sydney but my installer is no longer in the trade.

Re: T31 Hyper Roof Rails WITH Lights (aftermarket accessory)

alright guys roof rails are installed but crossbars are going on too.

fitter just called me asking me how they actually fix onto the car/hyper rail?

apparently there isn't a bracket they can affix it on in the genuine Nissan kit.

tried to google it but didn't come up with anything.

does anyone know how the crossbars for the rails attach to the car/hyper rail? pictures or any install pictures will go a long way for me so any help is appreciated!

Thanks

Everything is in this thread Jake emoticon

Check page 10 for details HERE

I can't remember if you got the genuine Nissan crossbars from me with the hyper rails, so if they are the genuine Nissan ones they would have come with fitting instruction and a template showing the installer when he needs to cut the hyper rails to insert the cross bars.

If you are trying to fit the standard cross bars, they won't fit at all.

Re:

Thanks Jalal.

yes I bought the Nissan crossbars from you about a year ago.

They've done the cutting part, only thing they are stump at is how to mount the crossbars. is there brackets that affix the bars to the roof rails?

is there something actually inside the roof rails that hold onto the crossbars? just that there is nothing really that they can see in the packaging or instructions on how the bars are suppose to be affixed and not just fluttering in the wind.

Do they rest somewhere on the roof rails?

Hey Stephen,
Are you planning on getting the cross bars for the hyper rails to carry loads?

G'day Tony

I've been reading up in UK forums where their members have attached cross bars. I'm hoping that Nissan Aust may be able to help me, otherwise I'll be asking Jalal the great to see if he can source something emoticon

There doesn't appear to be any indication on the inside to the rails where the cross bars would attach, so I'm hoping that there are suitable anchor points in under the plastic covers. When I get some spare time to myself (and have access to the exy) I'll check it out. More than anything, I'll be attaching the roof pod for aero dynamics and carrying of light bulky things.

This exactly. Any help?

Re:

They sit on the bklack metal bracket that holds the hyper rails in place and they're simply held by one bolt going through each side. The fitter will see the screw hole on the metal bracket where the cut for the corssbars will be. The crossbars don't need separate brackets.

See the 2nd photo in my posting on page 10 showing the bag with bolts.

Re:

o.k we have come to the conclusion that the genuine crossbars do not match up with the brackets of the hyper roof rails.

The brackets of the "genuine hyper rails" must line up to the black brackets obviously but the brackets I have with the hyper rails don't.

so have decided to scratch the crossbars idea emoticon
