So Scot, where are these photos (for the forum)? You keep saying that you'll get them, but nothing to show ......

I did try but could not get the permission, I also noticed that in your photos all of your rubber seals are missing from the base of the hyper rails was that something you wanted?

The way my hyper rails are set up, I can return to factory at anytime I want with out a bloody big hole or grommet emoticon

Fair enough comment as to installers doing it there own way and everyone does have a different slant as this is not a common item for them to fit!

Regards Scot

Another thing that Tony mentioned, Jalal, was that if you are concerned that your installers may not be able to remove and replace the roof lining without creasing it, then perhaps they're not professional enough emoticon (surely, this sort of procedure is commonplace and shouldn't be mucked up?)

Tony must have misunderstood what my concern was when I talked to him, as my real concern is not getting the roof lining creased but GREASED with hand marks all over the place and I know it is almost impossible to remove stains from our roof (same like the T30). I also asked Tony if it was possible to only remove the edges of the roof lining and access the bolts that way, he said that may cause the lining to crease. I know for a fact that the rear bolt of the roof rails can be accessed without removing the roof lining, as it is the same bolt used in the T30 to fit the factory spoiler and you only need to remove the plastic trim in the boot area to drop the roof lining a little at the back of the car.

Anyway, all of these comments and exchange of ideas is positive and only helps provide a better understanding of how the hyper rails are fitted. I never got the chance to see how the hyper rails were fitted on my T30 except knowing that it took them 2 days to do so, so for your installers to do it in a matter of hours and for half the cost, it is a top effort indeed.

Scot,

I think Stephen is referring to your offer to post photos of your own (original) roof rails, so we can see them up-close and the clips they have on the base. I don't think you need permission from anyone for that emoticon

Re: T31 Hyper Roof Rails WITH Lights (aftermarket accessory)

Ok instead of buying a new card reader just got a new camera instead.

The following pics show the hyper rails from the middle of the car looking back plus the wiring where it runs behind rear left tail light and the switch for the hyper rails and also the original rails to show that they did not break when coming off!

This is a very blurred shot of the wiring but I have a arrow to point it out

Image Image

The next few show the wire running to the front so I can only guess being 1 wire that it contains 2 within or he sourced the power from the rear!

I took these next shots standing thru the sun roof to take a shot up towards the back to show how wide they are!

Image Image

Side view on drivers side! Image

And the next are of the switch for the hyper rails shown with purple arrow and the blue arrow are my spotties so I may just want to change that switch to something that suits!Image

The last shots show the clips for the original rails and it does show that they are undamaged and so I can remove the Hyper rails and have these reinstalled later if I choose.

So I hope this helps and I am happy to try and answer questions as well!

Regards Scot

Hey Jalal, I have had a talk to Cameron again and he showed me the instructions to prove that you do not need to pull the roof lining down and if I can learn how to put arrows on the sheet while in email I can send it back to you!

Have you called him at all?

Regards Scot

Hi Stephen,

Have you had the roof racks fitted to your hyper rails as yet?
