Re: T31 LED Tail Lights (The collection)

Ok so i still have to figure out how to upload photos.... emoticon
I will definitely going to keep the bulbs in
The results are good, they are not noticeably brighter but create a more amber light with an even spread compared to the stock which have a bright spot in the middle and darker spots in places and are also a milky kind of yellow/orange.

now that i have done parkers, all interior, indicator and reverse lights...... i reckon i can say i have LED lights emoticon

all that is left are the brake/tail light.
when i get time i will post photos

Re:

I have made inquiries for the new led Nissan LED tail lights for the cost of them to see how much genuine and it surprise to find they are only $423.00 for the set so my next question is this cost true and is it truly the LED pricing?

Can these be swapped in a 2008 model TI as well as I would think you could!

Regards Scot

Re:

Wow Scot, that price is sure very cheap indeed, but it could be for ONE LED Tail Light and not a set of 2 emoticon. I have never seen them being sold that cheap by Nissan. I can check later for you.

Based on earlier photos in this thread, it is possible to fit the Series 3 and 4 LED Tail Lights on the Series 1 and 2, but you will also need to buy the wiring harness as well.

If that price is true and it is indeed for a set, I would certainly go the genuine Nissan one rather than the aftermarket version. Quality would definitely be better, so it will be a matter of taste at the end.

Re:

Just called my contact at Nissan and the price is $221.00 each (so $442.00 a set) which is amazing!!!

The right side is available in stock in Melbourne, but the left side needs to be ordered from Japan, so there is 2 weeks wait for the left side.

I might as well buy one of those and start experimenting with them to make the top section light-up emoticon emoticon

Wendy much prefers the original one from Nissan so will advise on how we go for ordering and see if the finance minister wants to go ahead!

Yes, the turning signal bulb is the same in the LED tail light like it is the one being used in the Series 1 and 2.

Wow thats cheap.
I still prefer the series 1, 2 and 3 tail lights, the Series 4 LED ones don't do it for me either.

Re:

Tony,

The series 3 and 4 tail lights are the same. I agree with you though and I have no idea why Nissan Japan left the top part of it un-lit, as it would have looked awesome otherwise. If I can't modify it, I will look at swapping my Series 4 tail lights with one of the aftermarket ones (if they fit).
