Great to hear from you Brett. Hope everything is well with you and the family.

Guys, the latest weather for Saturday for Lithgow-Bathurst region is a shower or two. But since they haven't had much rain in the last week or so (less than 1mm), I doubt that a few drops will affect the tracks greatly.

Obviously Chris, it's your call, but I'm keen to still go, unless it's really heavily raining all day.

Hi all,
I feel the same as Dave but fingers crossed it doesn't rain.

Re: Sunny Corner Via Pinnacle Fire Trail 2nd October 2010

Forecast is still for isolated showers but long-range forecast now has chance of rain at only 25% instead of previous day's 75% so seems to be improving.

If it is wet and Sunny Corner proves too difficult then we could still do The Turon and probably the Trek to Newnes via Blackfellows. Both are soft-roader friendly so if a little wet should still be quite passable with enjoyable photos and exploring around Newnes.

Re: Sunny Corner Via Pinnacle Fire Trail 2nd October 2010

the weather looks like it will be ok, a shower or two isnt a problem.
Andrew, we have a spare radio, but it would be advisable to get one for future trips, especially in larger convoys, you need to be able to communicate with the other drivers.
They only cost about $50 for a pair at d*** Smiths.

Re: Sunny Corner Via Pinnacle Fire Trail 2nd October 2010

Hey Guys,

The latest weather forecast for the region throws a chance of thunderstorms into the mix, which means any showers could be quite heavy... I remember poor Brett getting hailed on after the last NSW forum trip to Yengo, so i thought I should mention it.

What do you think Chris? I guess leave it until later on Friday and see if the forecast holds or changes again?

Re: Sunny Corner Via Pinnacle Fire Trail 2nd October 2010

Good idea Chris. The current chance of some rain is 75%, but heavy falls is only about 25%. I'm still keen to go (even have my own hail blanket), but you know the roads so you're in the best position to make the call.

As for doing a sundance.... oh man, I can't dance at all. It'd make it pour if I tried it.
