Jalal, the above link is dead. Has it moved or is it gone altogether?
Ron, I'm doing this trip in May and I plan on at least having a look at Jackass Hill. It's on The Pinnacle Fire Trail yes? I've seen some videos of the climb and it does look hairy in places but I would still love to see if an Xtrail could do it. I've had a lift, got A/T tyres and will have full bash plates by this trip. Thoughts?

Did the first section of this trip up Daylight Creek Road and Blackbutt Mountain Trail as part of a larger 3 day tour. I will post some photos in a trip report later tonight. Some very steep climbs that would be very very difficult in the wet. I turned around as I was running out of daylight and fuel so I didn't get to look at the Pinnacle Fire Trail.... another time maybe. Completed everything else with little difficulty though.. even find a harder little side track to make things more interesting
