Look up Monroe as well as they manufacture the OME shocks.

Re: Replacement Shocks for T31

Tony the monroe website has nothing for the T31's. Already tried that path.

Re:

I thought KONI made replacement shocks for the Exy, but am not sure if they're only available for the T30 or if they have them for the T31 as well. Worth exploring this option too, as Koni shocks are quite good.

Re: Replacement Shocks for T31

Tried them as well Jalal. Only struts for the T30. Nothing for the T31 yet. I really wanted something that was Nitrogen charged to reduce fade when they get hot. Unless Monroe or OME bring something out in January I'll probably be going the Trak Ryder.

Re: Replacement Shocks for T31

Just got an email back from Monroe

Hi there Todd Thank you for your email. The listing I have for your X-Trail T31 is as follows. D7019 Front D0027 Rear They are not currently in stock, they are a new product line, however, they should be available at the end of February 2013.

Found somewhere that sells them here. That link is for a rear pair. Little more expensive than I was offered from ARB ($300/pair) but then again they didn't even know what they were talking about.

Re: Replacement Shocks for T31

The OEM shocks on my T31 are Sachs (gas?) units. I have not had any issues with these and damping is well controlled.

I replaced shocks on my VW Bora 4 motion with Bilsteins at 180,000kms and yes after this mileage/age, there has been a noticeable difference from OEM.

I recall several years ago taking my old XE Falcon to a specialist suspension supplier who actually provided before and after graphs of rebound etc - there was a significant improvement using Boge shocks over the original Monroes. Again mileage was approx 100000kms.

Re:

Todd, the D0027's are coming up on monroe.com.au - but search under the Renault Koleos, which is essentially and xtrail from what I hear. Interestingly, the D0027 is showing up as a front replacement, not rear...

If i have time, I'll search the international shock websites (especially europe ones) to see what the Koleos is getting.

Any word re: the TrakRyder's?
