T31 CVT - How many Kms have you done trouble free?

Given the noises and subsequent replacement of some members transmissions after only a few 10,000Kms and the odd reported complete failure under 100,000Kms, it would be interesting to get a general report from all members of this forum that have this transmission.

- How many Kms travelled trouble free to date?
- How many Kms before you had a problem with noise/failure.

Not meant to replace the other topics that cover the details and member stories - rather a survey of good v bad experiences number wise; might be useful if a strong approach to Nissan Australia becomes warranted (if not already!!)

Put me down for one replaced CVT at 2.5 years/30,000Kms - 800kms with new CVT so far.

As long as you stick to answering the above 2 questions without going into full detail which already covered in the other T31 CVT Replacement thread, it's fine.

Use this thread as a poll.

20,000k in 20 months, have heard occasional chain "rumbling" noises but nothing serious yet, has not had any serious use yet as I am never home to drive it. Currently stuck in Abu Dhabi again.

64000km no dramas yet, touch wood.

Cant see this being useful to any claims etc as the poll isnt getting its results at random. The results are all coming from one group of X-Trail owners. ie results show so far 40% of CVTs have been replaced. Skewed figures only serve to derail any claims.

Re: T31 CVT - How many Kms have you done trouble free?

88 Views of this topic and only 4 relevant comments - it would be really interesting if all members owning a CVT version could comment with their Kms travelled and how trouble free or otherwise.

It may turn out that relatively few actually had a problem and that would be great info too.

No discussion, there is the other topic for that - just the facts as a compilation/survey would be GREAT.
