Re: Angel Eyes
Hey Kev
Yes the getting in bit is tricky. I tried moulding the strip around a hot cup of coffee with a rubber band prior to insertion. Makes it a bit more flexible. Not sure with the T30's but ours have a shield in front of the hole that gets in the way.
Don't worry about Leds going out, I had one set fail just a it was in the right place. I thought oh well its there now , but next morning it was back on and hasn't failed since.
I've found some hard PCB style rings I want to use, but want to get a second set of head lights from the wreckers to see if I can split the lenses apart (seen this performed using the oven to soften the sealant/glue!) and get them in Then do a light exchange program if successful!
Would love to see the pic's when done.
Cheers
Les

Re: Angel Eyes
Looks good Kev, but can you still use a parker bulb with the LED strip on?

Re: Angel Eyes
Yes Jalal. Just did not put it in. Like I said, Test #1, mainly to check it fit and how it looked. More pics when all complete. I'd like to get a set of LED bulbs and see the difference they make compared to the old narva blue vision parkers.

Re: Angel Eyes
Am using LED parkers and I reckon the combination of having them on as well as the LED strip would make them very bright and would look really nice, so yeah, grab yourself a couple of the LED parkers from eBay and am sure you'll see the difference.
On the LED strip front, I prefer to have an Audi style LED strip under the bottom edge of the headlight, so I might explore this option later when I get time.

Re: Angel Eyes
Nice job Kev, I would avoid using the LED bulb as Jalal mentioned cause it might take away from the ring.
Have you thought about encircling the haedlamp as well, now that would look awesome.

Re: Angel Eyes
Tony, depending on how bright this LED ring is, it might not be bright enough to be used as parker light, hence the suggestion to use the LED parkers in the same colour as the ring, so it can be still be relied upon as parker lights. One has to keep in mind that you still need parker lights up the front.
