Saturday 3rd July MT Mee

Gday all,

gunnna be another late post for a meet up, but Steve (Loafer) and I have finally teed up an arvo off, at the same time, up at Mt Mee. The timings are after 1300, and home by 1700, so pretty restricted. (Jobs and kids)

All we are planning on doing is hitting some tracks , and following a map(first timers beware, its pretty wet...prepare to be sideways)
Please PM me your mobile number if interested and I will reply ASAP...If this rain keeps up I wont hesitate turning it into a road run up the range, just in case.
Please be aware of RULES
Your own recovery gear and Cb would be nice....but not a trip killer
Any experience level is more than welcome...no cars will be broken, we all need to drive home. Its not about snapping stuff, just having a cruise.

Once again...sorry bout late notice...but ya have to fit these things in, when you can emoticon

Great minds must think alike Dave. Must've had so much fun last time with Camilla and I that you're so keen to go back. A mate of mine is down from Central Qld and we're gonna hit the Mt Mee trail again, but Sunday morning, not Saturday. He's got a big Range Rover, to pull me out of those big rutted out tracks you took me on last time. hehe

Cheers Dave.

Recovery gear is always in the back of the exy, but I'll throw in the MaxTrax (just in case) and will bring my Karcher for the post-trip clean-up.

Have read the rules .... am looking forward to hitting the trails again. Will call / text you after I leave work.

Definately keen mate...so close to home, I would be mad not to emoticon
These tracks are as 'hard core" as I am wiling to get in an xtrail, and Will loves it emoticon

After the recent rain, those clay tracks will be impassable without massive mud tyres and low range (and a V8, and massive lift)...stick your recovery eye-bolt in before you go---will save some time on the track emoticon

No worries Steve...glad we finally got a an arvo off.
T30 vs T31---"who will come out on top" emoticon

Re: Saturday 3rd July MT Mee

Great trip, Steve and I headed out about 1300 and were back by 1700. Bugger all fourbies out there, saw 2 others and a few bikes. Awesome scenery and some decent tracks, will chuck up some pics and a blurb tomorrow hopefully.
No breakages, and having a map with road names really helps...A Brake is definately on the next one, now I know where it is emoticon

Some great terrain, hopefully the videos work out

Re: Saturday 3rd July MT Mee

Did you end up posting the pics and blurb Dave? How'd you go?

edit: my bad - didn't look in the right place before I posted emoticon

Where did you get your map info for this area? I do realise you went out with someone else initially, but good maps are always nice for exploring! Would you recommend making sure you're with at least another vehicle before taking on the area, even in good/dry conditions?
