Re: Mt Mee Forest Trail, Brisbane

Got your number mate, cheers
Will send you a text in the morning if able to get out, have some coloured maps marking all the tracks levels, from easy to difficult.
This rain keep up, some of the harder tracks will be "interesting"...always an easy way round though
Looking forward to it

Cheers

Re: Mt Mee Forest Trail, Brisbane

Just a short note on yesterdays trip....met up with Brendan and Camilla no worries, and had a nice run around the Mt Mee area.
This would be by far, the best drive and offroading I have done in the Xtrail...well within the capabilities of the car, but still giving it a decent work out. Great hill climbs and decents, some fairly good camber and a bit of water.
I am also biased though, its 20 minutes from home
A-brake was interesting, no way in hell would we have got through there if it was really wet...my map reading skills need to be updated as well. 3 hour drive and ended up where we started emoticon

Only have photos of the post activity cleanup.....my son loved it, and also helped clean up.

I will be aiming to get back out there real soon..

Thanks for the invite Brendan...pleasure to meet both of you. Willliam had a ball....and loved eating all your chips.

Cheers

Re: Mt Mee Forest Trail, Brisbane

It was a good trip Dave. Great to meet you too.

Only trouble was a lack of clearance on some of those steep gradients. No real dramas otherwise. Car handled well and just used 4WD Auto mode - no issues with that. It's a great spot to do some beginners tracks, with a few difficult ones thrown in. Not to mention some sensational scenery.

Hi Guys,

These pics should really go into a trip report rather than here.

Sorry I could not make it!

Brendan looks like you may need to purchase some under car protection as well to replace those plastic bits!

Glad you had a ball!

Regards Scot

You missed out Scot! It was a great day. Next time hey - hope you and the wife are feeling better. I intend to do a few things to the exy, one of which is some bash plates. If I won the lotto I'd get it all done tomorrow!

Re: Mt Mee Forest Trail, Brisbane

Bugger I should have taken Friday off and gone down there. 1 weekend earlier I could have gone easily. I haven't been on those roads near there since about 03 or so.

However, do that run again on September the 25th or 26th and I should be around there somewhere. Or some other run near Brissy at least!

Somewhere like Coochin Creek would be good - or a bash on the sand (Noosa North Shore, Rainbow Beach, Nth Straddie or Bribie). I'm up for anything
