Re:
Have you tried transferring the content to another/new SD card via the Naviextras Toolbox?

Re: GPS map upgrade TL and Ti owners

Hi All,
Has anyone had any success in updating the maps on the T31 with eclipse head unit?
They want to charge $120 for a one off update! Rip OFF!!
I have downloaded the latest australian navteq maps and copied them over the the SD card but the unit does not recognise it. It has some sort of code linking the maps to the unit.
There must be a way round it!
Any ideas?
There is no way around it and the Eclipse head unit will not accept or work with any aftermarket SD card with pirated content and maps.
If you know that you gonna be updating your maps quite often, it will be cheaper for you to buy one of the cheap eBay head units which accepts anything.
Either that or pay the advertised price.
I personally won't be updating my maps in a hurry, as the current ones (2011 version) take me everywhere I need to do without any problems.

Re:
Boyo,
Check through the Naviextras toolbox for upgrades as I think you'll find that the 2012Q1 update is available for free for you. I got mine free as part of their 'guarantee'. But you have to get it through Naviextras Toolbox and have an account with them. All my updates since that I've had to pay for.
For Mr Sully, I didn't actually know that the voice recognition function actually worked for anything in the Eclipse unit - now you have me interested! I'll have to check this one out.

Re:
Voice recognition? Really? not sure how I missed this feature as I can't remember reading it in the Eclipse manual....it's either that or the Eclipse can't understand my accent LOL
