16" Nissan Rims

Hi all,

My Xtrail is due for tyres soon. At the moment we have a set of 15" alloys but finding the range of 16" tyres is much better. So, does anyone have a set of Xtrail 16" Ti Alloy rims they want to sell?

I have a 2007 T30 but prefer the early model rims (didn't get the 2007 nissan rims as didn't really like them). The ones with the small notch at the end of the spoke - like these:

In Brisbane but will pay for post if wheels are worth it emoticon

Cheers,
Shane

Shane,

These are the Series II T30 alloys. The Series I ones have round spokes.

I do have a set of the ones shown in your photo in perfect condition with no scratches, but they come with A/T Bridgestone tyres 235/60/16 that have 60% tread left and I don't want to separate them.

Hi Scot, the width of the tyre doesn't matter is the rolling diameter is kept the same. This tyre size is exactly the same rolling diamater at the factory 15" tyres I have on my ST.

Ahh - now your just teasing me emoticon

Thanks for the info but yeah, it's the family car and rarely see's a dirt road. Also postage is a killer with tyres on - rims on their own aren't too bad.

Anyone within about 2-3 hours from Brissie have a set of these tucked away??

Cheers,
Shane

The width does matter in QLD it seems - quick search reveals this doc: http://www.transport.qld.gov.au/resources/file/ebde8d0521b67c6/Pdf_modification_motor_vehicles2.pdf

Extract:

Tyres
The maximum tyre width for a car or car derivative must not be more than 1.3 times the vehicle manufacturer’s widest optional tyre.
However, for an off-road passenger vehicle fitted with front and rear beam axles, the maximum tyre width must not be more than 1.5 times the vehicle manufacturer’s widest optional tyre.
The nominal width of the narrowest tyre fitted to a vehicle must not be less than 70 per cent of the nominal width of the largest tyre fitted and never less than the vehicle manufacturer’s narrowest optional tyre as indicated on the manufacturer’s tyre placard.

Learn something everyday...
235 width makes it easily (205x1.3=266) or do we have beam axles?? (205x1.5=307!) hrrrm overkill!

Cheers,
Shane
