Australian X-Trail Forum Invades Facebook
Hi Guys,
Please feel free to jump on board our newly created Facebook page specifically designed for the Australian X-Trail Forum for the purpose of spreading the word about our forum and our members to the wider xtrail community around the world
Our Facebook page can be found HERE
You must register and become a user of Facebook to be able to view this page and add content to it.
Please note that the Facebook Fan Page is NOT meant to replace our forum in way, shape or form. We still encourage all our visitors to register with our main forum at Runboard to get the benefit of all information stored in it.
The Facebook page will give you a chance however to interact informally for that occasional chat and it will also be used as the answering platform for new members trying to register on our forum and having difficulties doing so.
The Facebook Forum Page will also be used as a point of contact between the Australian X-Trail Forum and other X-Trail Clubs on Facebook to increase the level of interaction between X-Trail owners world-wide.
Enjoy it.

Re: Australian X-Trail Forum Invades Facebook
In all honesty Julie, I hate it too and I can see plenty of security holes in it as well as privacy issues and that is why I never looked at making the xtrail forum account active. But seeing that so many people are now using it, I thought it will be a good way to advertise our forum.
It has already given results, as I was contacted by Nissan Australia commenting on how good our forum is (yet again) and asking me to link to the xtrail page on the Nissan Australia site (which we are already doing anyway as part of the main site menu)
Here is the email I got from Nissan Australia:
quote:
Hi,
I was looking at your the Australian X-Trail Forum, it's a great website & I and was wondering if you would link to the official page on our site?
Here's the URL: http://www.nissan.com.au/webpages/models/X-TRAIL.html and here is the anchor text "Nissan X-TRAIL".
Thanks for your time!
Cheers,

In return I asked them to think about including a link to our forum on the xtrail page or at least include it in their electronic newsletter which goes out by email to subscribers
I also gave them links to the "Dealer Feedback" and T31 Petrol and Diesel Issues" to look at

Re: Australian X-Trail Forum Invades Facebook
I don't see why not mate. There are some good things in there about more than one dealer and bad things about one dealer in particular which has been mentioned more than once, so this alone should flag a concern at Nissan.
It's not like we're sharing something top secret as other sites (like "not good enough") has MUCH more to say about dealers and car faults. I haven't seen anything positive posted there at all.
