a little mud, Maleny and Mt Mee
G'day all.
Went for a wee day trip with Dave (Robbo0001) up to Maleny on Sunday for a spot of lunch. Weather was perfect and the company ideal.
En-route, we visited the fire trails along side the pine forests near Roys Road. Unfortunately, no pics were taken along this little track, but suffice to say I enjoyed the opportunity to change the appearance of our exy
from this
to this
The only mishap incurred was that part of the plastic underbody guard was pushed up by the water (after going through a small muddy patch) up onto the alternator (?) drive belt and made a bit of noise (until it was cable-tied out of the way).
Made it up to Maleny without delay and found a cafe for lunch, before bumping into some Wynnum friends in the street.
After lunch, we leisurely strolled through town, allowing the girls to pop into the little boutique shops. Dave's young fella was obviously over the "shopping" experience and made indications that he wanted to play. Dave found a nearby park where they played. I took the opportunity to snooze under a tree whilst the girls chatted.
It was decided then that we would head back to Brisvegas via Mt Mee through some magnificant countryside and winding roads. It is through this area that many "temporary Australians" also frequent, and we needed to be on the lookout for them as they cut across the road in their bid to break the landspeed record on two wheels .....
Another annoying occurrence in that area were the bl**dy Sunday drivers
Thankfully, we came upon the Mt Mee Lookout (am sure Dave was about to give the leading SD a gentle "hurry-along" nudge) ...
to Dave, Tara & Will for sharing the day with Rose & I.

Re: a little mud, Maleny and Mt Mee
Stephen, sounds like you had some fun on your "dity weekend" BTW the paramedically correct term for "temporary Australians" is organ donors, we came across a number of them on the winding roads around Kinglake. The fun bit is watching them alter their line when they realise their head in on a collision course with your headlight or bullbar.

Hey Dave, your Xtrail is looking quite clean compared to Stephen's.
Maybe that is one of the drawbacks to having it raised ... it misses all the puddles
After today's effort I think it might be the T31's are just more resistant to dirt...

No after a little off road adventure today with 2 lifted T30s it seems my T31 was the "cleanest" and none of us managed to dodge the "puddles"
Once the photos are added here I think you'll understand
