Just wondering if the series 4 and 5 X Trails have had Nissan fix this annoying issue.
Can anyone confirm?

Re: T31 Trailer Indicators working with no key in ignition.

Just wondering if a better version of this mod may be to discover if the power from the Auxiliary circuit can be changed to an "Always on" situation.

I would do this by locating the wire in the plug that's switched on and off with auxiliary, disconnecting that one, then rewiring the module connector where it went to a constant 12 volts via a fuse.

I will be wiring an electric brake controller for my caravan soon so will investigate when the back is in bits.

I will have a constant 12volts (direct from car battery) at the input of a Projecta 150Amp dual battery controller at the rear (for the caravan battery) so could get it from there.

When I had all the rear plastic out there wasn't a black control box anywhere!
There was a strange looking electronic thingy about the same size wrapped in shrink wrap.

Therefore I didn't fool with this as I didn't know what that was all about. Perhaps this was the replacement for the recall.
