Re: 2nd & 3rd January Sunshine Coast Brissie

Julie, The D'Aguilar trip starts at Dayboro which is about an hour south of Nambour and inland a bit and the drive is in a northerly direction. See the post for the last trip we did here Probably best if we meet you at Dayboro, you can whereis the directions or I can do it and send them to you.

The Glasshouse Mountains trip starts at Caboolture and ends at Coochin Creek which is even closer home for you. here

For my money, I much prefer the D'Aguilar trip and if there is any rain before hand the glasshouse mountain trip will be a challenge as lots of the drive is clay. For the extra 20 minute drive south, I think it is worth it and the Gantry is such a nice picnic area. You can continue the trip on dirt or take the road back to the coast and head north early to mid afternoon.

Let me know which one you would prefer and I will start a separate thread for it.

Thanks Jamie - D'Aguillar it is then, really does sound the best, and will be new country for me too. Good picnic area a definite plus. Looks like you have become the leader, thank you for taking it on. I will be fine to get to Dayboro, google earth/maps have shown me the quickest way.

Hi Guys,

Just a quick reminder that off-road forum outing rules apply to this gathering, so make sure all those who attend read the disclaimer HERE and acknowledge it if you haven't done so already.

Enjoy the trip.

Hi y'all

Just returned from four fantastic wet and sandy days on Moreton Island emoticon (will post pics and trip report tomorrow ...... after I clean the car inside and out emoticon )

Would really love to revisit the D'Aguilar again (for a 3rd time) and (like Kev, with the new Geolanders on) but we are finally erecting fences around our yard and this will occupy my time for the next couple of weekends.

Have a blast guys! Looking forward to seeing the trip report, pics and vids emoticon
