I had been getting code P0420 lately. I asked my mechanic to take out the Exhaust Manifold so that we can check the Catalytic converter which did not look much blocked. We still changed the Manifold with another used one from scrap yard. We cleaned the B1 Oxygen sensor and put back. The code did not come back for almost 3000 KM and is now back. Please advise if i need to replace manifold? If yes, i will be interested in one pipe one. Apparently the ECU chip being used in our Chinese made Bosch ECU doesn't allow any re-programming or piggy backing and it's the same case in Europe as well. Hi-Tech told me last week that they have also fitted a full exhaust system including the extractors and high flow cat converter to a T31 2WD X-Trail but they haven't performed a before and after dyno run, so they can't tell the benefits. I spoke to the owner and he tells he's very happy with it and can feel more power especially going uphill as his cruise control used to disengage due to load, now it just goes up that same hill smoothly. I'd be very interested in your review and please ask them to take photos of the installation and the dyno runs.nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Wed, 28 Oct 2015 10:04:43 +0000 Re: Hi-Tech Cat. He was having "check engine light" issue and got in tocuh with me to help him clear it. I have given him instructions to the ECU re-set and that was the last I heard from him. He didn't provide any feedback as to how it all went or if he felt any improvement. I can ask Hi-Tech to follow up with him if there is interest, but in general, the T31 owners don't seem to be as "revheads" as the T30 owners were (are) nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Thu, 04 Apr 2013 15:06:20 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2072665,from=rss#post2072665https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2072665,from=rss#post2072665Hi all, Being over two years since the last post did a full system ever get designed?nondisclosed_email@example.com (NathanCox)Thu, 04 Apr 2013 14:48:19 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2049715,from=rss#post2049715https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2049715,from=rss#post2049715Hi Scott, Not sure about the new Sentra Spec V header similarities with the T31 headers. For me, I could get much better prices on Sentra parts from the U.S. than AUS products, mainly due to shipping costs. Although, I'm sure I would still have to go the HI TECH route from cat back to twins. As it's already proven and simple to install. Can you send me a price for just the headers only please and let me know if the car will be needed. Well, you're a free man now LOL The Full Exhaust System will include not only the headers, but the high flow stainless steel cat. converter which will replace your factory ceramic core cat. converter that is part of the manifold/headers and yes, the car will definitely be required for 2 days at least to fabricate the headers and also the pipe section to join with the existing cat. back system. The development of the full exhaust system will most likely take place at the Hi-Tech factory in Bathurst, so anyone volunteering for this should make themselves and their exy available for 2 days and on the 3rd day we need to do a dyno run in Sydney. The cost of this to the 1st volunteer will be the cost of materials only, which means you will save greatly on the cost of labour and the dyno tune-up.nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Sun, 06 Feb 2011 19:34:51 +0000 Re: Hi-Tech Cat. The install is easy enough and only basic tools are needed, I did it by myself but a second person would have been handy. The only modification to the body of the car is the minor cutting. My warranty expired last week so I am interested in the headers soon, Jalal. The hangers are already welded to the system for a DIY type of installation of course. Yes, a dremel is exactly what's needed to trim the rear bumper for the twins system and a template will be sent for this purpose.nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Sun, 06 Feb 2011 16:57:10 +0000
