Re: "Kitchen Sink" GPS review

After enquiring to Matt about map updates I got sent a current copy of Igo8 and maps.

Much better than the PolNav that came with it and more up to date maps.

I tested the Nav-N-Go Igo8 in my trip on the weekend and it works better than my Garmin GPS.

The GPS lock on is instantaneous and very accurate.

Only gripe is the navigation commands could be a little louder, but it might be the settings as I am still playing with them.

Jalal as per the request for the install to be moved to the DIY - no you do that or do I???

Kym

Just as well cause you will didn't buy the B/T cause you still have at least $100 in your pocket from buying the radio.

Re: "Kitchen Sink" GPS review

Wow that looks cool. It seems your software is a little more up to date than mine. My radio and Ipod connectivity screens look different. But from the front it looks identical. I wonder if the WinCE componentry can be updated to look like yours. emoticon
Might email Dig to find out. Welcome to the uber cool touchscreen club ! Oh and by the way the DivX movies play fine also via USB so it saves having to carry DVDs around in the car. Just pop a USB key with a heap of movies or tv shows on them and your laughing.
Great write up by the way.

Re: "Kitchen Sink" GPS review

Hi,

I am thinking about the dig options unit and for $600 seems good value,

Can anyone that has installed one of these units give some feedback now they have been out for a while

Thanks

Re: "Kitchen Sink" GPS review

From what I've read on the Navara forum the guy seems to have sorted out the quality issues and now has a good range of products. Also VMS have become interested in his operations so he must be doing OK
