Re: Morning Mud Trip

Strange, its a lot more efficient offroad than the Xtrail, and pretty much any other stocky.

This car will go places most "real fourbies" wont, purely because its power to weight ratio is so good.
If the lockers get installed, it will be unstopable.
Harder to break, easier to fix and cheaper to run....so what sort of "real 4wd" would it grow into?

A T31 or a Navara? emoticon

Each to their own, I guess

I agree, the Zukies are cute little off-road beasts that will go anywhere and they're very easy to modify too.

The exy is also considered relatively small to some bigger rides out there emoticon

I love it! Now Jalal is going to have to start a new forum competition: "Best quote" but without the photos emoticon

Great photos, and I can't believe I didn't see this thread until now?!

These two outings explain why you needed the 50mm spacers - to keep up with the big boys!

I'd love to move to QLD emoticon

Re: Morning Mud Trip

Hey Dave, loved the report emoticon .

Have you thought of the Esplanade at or near Roys road?

That would be a great track for you to try with the big boys!

A stock exy can make it thru and I am looking forward soon to redoing this track since I had my lift emoticon

Glasshouse area is great for tracks with mud emoticon

Regards Scot

Spent 6 years in Sydney and used to take my Cruiser up Heathcote Road near the reactor and Georges River on the plateau. Heaps of scrub, fire trails and mud galore, as well as other fourbies and dirt bikes.

Was a while ago, but surely that isnt closed?
Was only 10km from where I lived and worked, and used to bury some cars up there emoticon

Edit yeah Scott we are running out of mud and tracks on the western side, if we head that way again it will on the eastern side of the highway. Big fire started on Saturday arvo in there, so some of those roads/ areas might be closed by the rangers soon.

Dave, that area is still "open" however from my reading on other forums over the years I believe it's a restricted/aboriginal area, but every time I drive past, there are utes and trailers parked outside. The few times I've driven in for a look, there have been trailbikes in there. I only did a short amount of exploring as I didn't want to get caught in there by rangers or whoever patrols the area. A few years ago I started a thread intending to have a forum meetup there, which is when I found out it was a restricted area, even though there's no signs anywhere!

It's when you start playing on the southern side of the road you'll have some real fun and meet a few old mates of mine who will definitely not be happy to see you.....
