I don't think the 2009 T31 is affected by this recall.

You can check the VIN against the affected range here:

I think you're right Jalal and could be the reason why I only have the letter for steering. I don't have my exy now but will check it against those VINs. Thanks mate

Re: T31 Tank Sender Unit Seals Recall

Hi Guys,

Please note that the recall to replace the O ring for the fuel sender units does NOT address the problem some of you may be having in relation to the fuel tank not showing full when you fill-up the car. This problem requires the replacement of TWO fuel sender units and must be reported to the dealer separately, as it will not be covered as part of the recall to replace the O ring. More information about the fuel gauge problem can be found HERE

Re: T31 Tank Sender Unit Seals Recall

This doesn't give the VIN range for the O ring service recall. I do believe that all T31s (except 2009 models) are affected by the O ring service campaign.

Call the number provided in the recall notice above and ask Nissan Australia if yours is affected. That'll be your best bet.

Re: T31 Tank Sender Unit Seals Recall

Had to take our exy back to the service department after the recent recalls. Day after getting it back, I noticed a fuel smell coming from the vehicle. Last Saturday, when I filled the tank (enroute to Stanthorpe), heaps of fuel was leaking out underneath the car emoticon

Apparently, the sender unit seal washer(?) had fallen in, thus causing fuel to leak profusely. Job was done in approx 30mins and the service manager apologised for any inconvenience I suffered.

Thankfully you managed to keep safe with all that fuel around Stephen!

I will have to recheck mine when I next fuel up!

Thanks for the heads up emoticon

Obviously you're not a smoker, otherwise you won't be here to tell us about that fuel leak emoticon

I would have hammered the dealer about it with a smoko in my mouth emoticon
