Adelaide Barossa Adventure

After a short notice we decided to have our second SA meetup out in the Northern Area.

We met up with Fishy and Anita at Carrisbrook reserve at about 11am we were running late and i missed the turn off so we had to double back.
It was a fine sunny day, and a little bit cooler than the last meet.

We waited and waited but noone else showed up so we decided to head out to the Whispering wall. I took Fishy on a bit of a side detour around the ParraWirra Reserve, he opted to go second which he soon regretted i think with all the dust. (Reminder i need to get one of those cabin filters!)

We wound our way into the Barossa, chatting about stuff when we heard the dulcet tones of waky53 on Ch10. Apparently he was out fixing a fence or something, so we let him know we would catch him at the Whispering wall.
We parked at the wall and had a look at the different things we had done to the car etc etc. Dave turned up and we took a few more pictures.

Dave had to go off for a wedding, a few minutes later smac79 turned up! we had a bit of a chat and then he headed off to have lunch.

As Fishy also had plans for the afternoon we parted ways for the day.

On the way back from Lyndoch i saw a suspicious looking xtrail pulling over and letting me past. Turns out it was another member!.

Anyway, it was a short catch up on short notice, we hope to get another meeting together, maybe in the southern area next time!

Re: Adelaide Barossa Adventure

Sorry I did not make it, my flight back from the UK got in at 9 am, we drove past the reserve at about 10 am, looked but no one there then, was too buggered from the flight to hang around, needed to get home for a rest. Will definately be in it if I am around for the next one.

Regards,

Barney.

How far south you looking at coming next time? I'm in SW Vic (Grampians) and I'm sure I can convince Jo and the kids to come for a trip if it involves a BBQ and fishing emoticon
