Re: T31 Rear Bumper and Diff Bash Plates

Scot,

I can't see any other option but to mark a line where the rear bash plate will sit on the styling plate and cut it all the way across. You would have to make 2 new mounting points on the remaining bit which will probably be close to each side of the reverse lights on the bumper.

Re: T31 Rear Bumper and Diff Bash Plates

There is no meat for the screws to hold onto the style plate in that location, as they have been made specifically for the screw position!

I am now seeing if I can look-up someone who does fiber glassing and see if they can do something!

The rear plate will go on I can feel it will emoticon

Someone has to try these things out!

Regards Scot

Re: T31 Rear Bumper and Diff Bash Plates

Hi Scot, they won't be the same screws you used, they would have to be a flat head bolts with nuts on the inner side of the bumper and you can drill recessed holes in the style plate so the screw head doesn't show as much and can cover it as well.

Anyway, see how you go mate.

I haven't seen too many T30s sufferring from this mate, especially those that weren't taken on a beach drive. You can almost bet to find a rust-free T30 mild steel factory system at the wreckers.

rear bash & diff plates were picked up from the post office yesterday and fitted today - I am pleased that there is now significant protection from front to rear.

Hey all, Ordered mine today..

Sadly, it is too late for the broken rear bumper from Moreton Island..

However, The smash repairers are going to fit it for free when they replace the rear bumper
