Always showing "New Post"

Lately Jalal I have been getting 'New Posts" that don't exist.

This morning, every single topic had a 'New" next to it, even if they were old topics.
I tried refreshing by hitting the 'Australian X-trail Forum' button at top left hand corner but nothing refreshes.
If I press the green refresh button on the web page, only the posts I have read wipe clean.
Wierd.

Has anyone else had this problem.

Re: Always showing "New Post"

It happened to me yesterday as well. To clear them you need to press on "mark all forums as read" button at the top of the forum page.

Re: Always showing "New Post"

I've had it a few times Tony.

It only happens on the front main page.

Best thing to do is click every forum topic and the next page will show which posts are actually new. If there are some, read them. After reading the new posts or if there are none shown, click "mark forum as read" and you will go back to the front page with that thread cleared.

This takes a little longer than normal but clears things and makes sure you don't miss anything. Only other way is as Jalal said, click "mark all forums as read" on the main forum page but then you have to search through the thread post times to see which ones were updated after your last time on the forum (which for me takes longer).

Re: Always showing "New Post"

This morning I looked at the dates the replies were recorded at and clicked on those, then when I finished, I hit the marked all forums as read and all is back to normal.

Re: Always showing "New Post"

It happened again, this time when I clicked the 'Australian X Trail forum' banner on the top L/H corner they still showed 'New Post", even the sections I have read.

Has to be some sort of bug to be continualy rearing its head.
