Re: Audio & Antenna Adapters

Hi Jalalski,

You're probably right that it would be easier to just install the T30 6 stacker, but I like the look of the T31 unit. I picked up my unit for $120, which I thought wasn't to bad.

When we were looking at buying an Xtrail I wanted to get the T31 Ti but couldn't go the extra dollars at the time, so we went with the T30 STS 40th Anniversary, which is a great car, but didn't like the cd unit.

Nissan told me that the T31 unit would fit the T30 dash. I won't say anymore on that one.

With the black cable tie fitted you would think it was part of the unit.

The T31 unit can play MP3 cd's. 6 cd's will do a long trip.

At least with the T31 unit installed I could say that I have got a T30 1/2

Scott,

I haven't posted picks to the forum yet. Still to work that out. The job wasn't all that complicated, just accessing that 20 pin plug.

* I also fitted the storage bin from the top to replace the bottom bin to hold cd cases. The internal dimensions of the bottom bins on the T30 are smaller and won't hold cd cases.

Here you go. That's the difference with the T30 stacker, which doesn't play MP3s as far as I am aware. Well done mate.

Re: Audio & Antenna Adapters

Pulled the dash apart on Phillipa's exy today to install the GPS/radio/CD/DVD etc unit (VMS clone) and found that both the 2008 X-Trail and Navara have the same plug (the white one directly facing you in the picture below)

Image

and its not the same as the lug on the end on the unit or the AERPRO APP0120, however the AERPRO 40-NI12 antenna adapter is the right one to converty from the Nissan plug to the standard antenna.

So I have 2 x APP0120's spare as well as 1 x 40NI12 and I have the wiring details for the connector in the 2008 X-Trail, not to mention the BAD news for anybody who wants to get the steering wheel controls to work on anything that has less that 3 wires connecting the steering wheel control to the audio unit.

Hi Alan,

The white one is the METRA 71-7552 I had to get from the US for my T30 to T31 conversion. I don't recognise the other plugs in your photo. They must be specific for the T31 harness.
