Re: Hi-Tech Cat. Back System (T31 Manual Diesel)

I would be very interested in purchasing the single cat back system however I have an auto 08 diesel. Can the company confirm if this system will fit The auto. I am happy to be the first to try it however I just want to k now if it 'should' fit.
Cheers

Re:

Tim,

I am pretty sure the exhaust system is the same for the manual and diesel T31 xtrail with the only difference being the DPF section, so if you can take photos of the undercarriage of your auto diesel, we can compare it and tell you for sure.

Re: Hi-Tech Cat. Back System (T31 Manual Diesel)

Ok I will have it jacked up tomorrow any way so I will take a few photos and try to post them up. Is there any particular area you need me to concentrate on or just the whole underside.
Thank you.

Re: Hi-Tech Cat. Back System (T31 Manual Diesel)

Hi All,

Has anyone experienced a droning sound from the exhaust after upgrading their original CAT back with the hitech exhaust?

I have a T31 manual diesel and never had a drone with the original exhaust. After the upgrade once a week I will get a drone that might last 5mins to an hour. The fuel economy indicator displays an increase of at least 4litres per hundred kms whilst crusing. The only way for the drone to disappear is to pull over and let it idle for 5 mins.

There is no pattern of when this occurs. I have done an ecu reset my and the car had also had the 20k service.
