AkaZulu's Exy

Image

Thought I'd find something to post. Found this old photo taken way back in 2003. I think it's "artsy", all it needs is a big "T" to make it. More photos to come once the other half gets around to letting me play with her new Nikon D90. Need to get some action shots of some of the tracks I take the Exy on around the Top End.

Stay tuned for more ...

Damn just realised I had to edit all the Thumbnail URL links to drop the ?action blah blah command from the Link Code to make the photo appear full screen on a new webpage.

Mate you should have painted the letter 'T' on the road, then it would read

           X
           TRAIL

It would have been excellent to have another exy there to form the letter T emoticon

I suppose I could always go back there and use lime stone or something to spell out a T ... ooo I'm feeling creative now.

LOL found this pic in the old photo album ... the river crossings can be deep up here LOL Oh and spot the Exy in behind, see they're everywhere up here.

Image

Wish I had more of the Exy around here tackling the gnarley tracks but this one looks nice sitting on a beach near Gunn Point. Forgive the ragged appearance and droopy boardies LOL.

Image Image Image Image

Some pics of the Exy well overdue to be posted. Stickers in plain view. Last one is the new tyres picked up on the weekend. Went for a spin out to Litchfield NP and forgot the damned camera. They perform really good on the slippery stuff and have a little bit more road noise than the RV501s did. Going to test them out more on the weekend coming.

Image Image

Here's the towbar plug setup on my Exy where the L plate is inverted and the plug assembly has also been inverted up out of the way of catching anything whilst off road.

More to come once I get the other half eager to take some action shots whilst on some of offroad jaunts.

Man I'm spewing I forgot the camera on Saturday went through some awesome terrain and creek crossings. Bah next time.

Next week expecting the exhausts from Jalal. Woot !

Oh the dogs like to go for trips also in the Exy. emoticon

Re: AkaZulu's Exy

Dropped the Exy into the lads for the Twins install this morning. Nearly shed a tear but sucked it in and swallowed my pride. I think she's in good hands, the blokes look like professionals and I swear I saw the Exy smiling as she was getting lifted onto the hoist. The old exhaust looked tired and I'm glad the new stainless shiny steel one is replacing it. There was a fair bit of surface rust all over the system, obviously from all those beach runs over the years. Couldn't find any dents though so good driving on my account I suppose. I swear I must've given it a knock or two in its life but it didn't show any battle scars. I anxiously await a call from the guys to check it out and maybe get some pics of the new system whilst it is up on the hoist. Stay tuned ...
