Re: T31 - CVT Transmission replacement just after 10000kms I went through the same recently with a 3 year old 100,000km Suzuki Swift. Went to ACAT as the Regulators were useless. Got full refund for the whole car!
Unfortunately you have to do the Civil court/Tribunal action before the Regulators will take any action, and in my case, they still didn't! They were never prosecuted for not complying with the Australian Consumer Guarantee law.

Re: T31 - CVT Transmission replacement just after 10000kms Hi all, my T31 CVT died. Bearings in the grooves inside the pulleys had disintegrated. I have rebuilt it (at my expense and time). It seems to me that the design could have been stronger.
Nissan Australia has indicated that they will not reimburse my expenses... due to the age and kilometres it falls outside Nissan's scope for any financial assistance.
After lasting 9yrs 1mth, and 172,860 km, would the CVT be considered sufficiently durable and meeting reasonable expectations? Given age and kms, is there any point in going to QCAT?
