Re: New Members Welcome Notes
Well done Tony, the last couple of welcomes were excellent, but you seem to have copied my last welcome which has a line referring a member to the xtrail models section, so please remember to delete that line from your future welcomes (or the welcome template you're using)

Re: New Members Welcome Notes
One last thing about welcomes guys,
If the new member is a special number such as the next being 1300, then please let Jalal do the welcome as sometimes he offers a free full membership or other bonus to the lucky ones.

Re: New Members Welcome Notes
Hi Scot,
The last welcome which you have done (X-1307) has some problems.
You seem to have just copied the welcome note from my post which has resulted in links not showing-up when you pasted that welcome to the new member.
What you need to do is click "quote" in my reply and then copy the contents of the welcome note and paste it to the welcomes you're doing. That way all links will show up.

Re: New Members Welcome Notes
It's OK mate, you can use the test section of the forum to practice a bit
Just keep welcoming yourself as a member in the test section.

Re: New Members Welcome Notes
Hi Guys,
Just thought I'd warn you that due to change in the registration process for new members, it is important that you get their Member ID correctly and the best place to now refer to, would be the "detailed members list" where each of the new members is assigned a member ID as their membership application gets approved.
You will notice that some new members appearing on the members list haven't yet made a post in the intro area of the forum, that's because I have emailed them advising that their membership application has been approved and they can now make a post in the intro section and they're yet to do that, so assigning a member ID will now be done in sequence based on the joining date and will be recorded as such in the detailed members list we have HERE
Their location details will be updated when they make the intro post.

Re: New Members Welcome Notes
So the Total Registered Members number at the bottom of the front page does not mean anything anymore Jalal ?
I always used that as it showed the last name and last member number to quickly identify the new member's ID number.

Re: New Members Welcome Notes
Kev,
It still corresponds with the new member, however as I said, the new member might have been added to the list as a result of an application approval, but he hadn't made any posts yet in the intro. section.
If you look at member (gecko watcher X-1355) for example, his username appears on the members list, but hasn't yet made an intro post.
So, you can still use the members list to count backwards if that's easier for you, but the detailed list will always have the correct member ID assigned.
