Re: MrBump & Revhead's "spur-of-the-moment" Hunter Range trip

Hey Guys,

A few surprises in this report. 1) These roads are open again. NPWS website still have them as closed after the fires. 2) You guys tackled that side track near the sheepskin hut. You have no idea how much consternation there was about tackling that on our Forum trip last year. Even the guys with a big fourbie (with mud tyres and low range) didn't go up there. No one in an Exy was game. Mine is manual (so that's my excuse....) but no one seriously considered it. You guys put us to shame!!!! For anyone who hasn't seen it, it is a SERIOUS hill. I mean, walking up it was a challenge. And you guys conquered it with Exies!!!!! emoticon

Re: MrBump & Revhead's "spur-of-the-moment" Hunter Range trip

Have to add my congratulations, both for trying and succeeding. Hat's off to all and it just goes to show how far the XTrail will go. That's one steep little hill. I thought there might be some ground clearance problems with some of tree roots. Got to get me a decent set of tyres.

Yeah top effort guys, good to see that you like challenges.
I too thought about it but still not 100% sure of what the Xy is capable of doing. That and the fact that it just clocked up 1 year old too.
