Re: Cooch's T31

The problem will be that the kit is a bluetooth phone interface not a bluetooth audio interface. The signalling protocols are different.

Re: Cooch's T31

I have been looking at a set of alloys for the Xy and have pretty much decided on what I am getting. emoticon
The standard rubber still has around 5ooo kms to go and I got 53000 out of them, pretty happy with that.

Tyres I am looking at are probably Yoki's ATS. They are about $50 cheaper a corner than the BFG All terrains and expected to get close to the same life.
The Yoki's have a hazard warranty which cover the tyre up to 50% tread on or off road which is very appealing.

The BFG all terrains are a great tyre but I have had 4 sets of these on previous four wheel drives and think it might be a time for a change.

Stay tuned, it should be around a week or so before they are on.

No, I am going to stay with the 16's. Mine came with steel 16's.
I did think about 18's but its just not practical when your a builder and some of the sites I come across.

Still haven't got the tyres, slack I know.
I have been busy with another project and have bugger all time at the moment.
The band is playing nearly every weekend and there just aren't enough days in the week.
As soon as I fit some rubber, you guys will be the first to know.

Re: Cooch's T31

Today I have finally ordered a set of Yoki's AT/S in 215/70/16.

I chose this size cause in my belief the 225's are just a tad too big.
The 215's have a rolling diameter of 702mm where the 225's are 722mm.
Standard rolling diameter is 685mm, so the 215's are a smidge over legal as they are, legal being 15mm over or under stock size.

All for $220 a corner which helped make the decission as did the road hazard warranty.

I got 58000 kms out of the factory H/T's and I reckon I could have pushed them to 60k.
Can't wait to get them fitted.

Re: Cooch's T31

I got my tyres fitted today.
First thing I noticed was the sidewalls are a lot flatter and stand more upright than the old stockys.
Too early to notice any difference, noise is about the same and the Xy seems more agile in corners.

Nothing like the smell of new tyres in the garage.
Almost as good as the new car smell.

Re: Cooch's T31

Here you go Dave, I took them now just for you.
They definately fill out the guards a little more than the stockys too.
I'll have to update my avatar soon cause that was taken even without the lift.
