Re: T31 slimline weather shields

Hi Jalal,

Do you know if there any see-through slimline window weather shields available anywhere. The only ones I've been able to find are the black non see-through type that you warned about

Thanks
Peter

Re:

You should be able to find the see-through on eBay as well. Just ask the seller if they are see-through or not.

I still have a set which I haven't attached to the Red Bull as yet as my wife doesn't want weathershields, so am gonna give her one last chance before I sell them or sell the Red Bull emoticon

Re: Re:

Just ordered a set of clear slim lines from the local Nissan Dealer for the T31 V4 X Trail.

He reluctantly dropped to 70 bucks for a set but as the Nissan EBay version was 65 dollars after delivery costs, I thought the local blokes was by far the better deal.

Neither the dogs nor I enjoy the bellow of the blast from the current open window experience, so the new addition should make that 'open to the air' experience more enjoyable for us all.

Just a matter of persuading the younger dog not to punch the airfoil onto the ground when he decides to shove his boof head out the car window to hurl abuse at the pedestrians of the species.. emoticon

Re: Re:

Collected the Dealer slim lines today and saved a dollar! (invoiced 69 and some odd cents after GST).

Fitted them 30 minutes later.

First test after fitting was positive:
Previously with back windows open for the dogs entertainment but with front windows closed, the cabin would "drum" above 60kph and that painful airpressure could only be relieved by opening a front window. Made it a bit too breezy.

Now: When the drumming started with the open back windows, i opened the drivers window to the level of the slim line shield.

The drumming stopped and there was no air rush around the cabin or high pitched air noise from the barely opened window. -Such was the norm previously.

All-in-all: Very pleased.

Solved all of my ventilation problems and did it economically.

Re: T31 slimline weather shields

For Poitr:

The plastic on this version is probably best described as "lightly smoked". i.e they are slightly darker than the standard windows on the X Trail.

On my white car, they blend in with the normal side windows and do not look like "eyelids".

No interference to external rear view mirror and no undue shading or distortion on the angle when looking through them.

To answer your question, yes, Nissan sell the slimline weathershields for the front only.
