Your response has been overwhelming.  So far I am up to $610, with my target of $750 fast approaching. The site total donated is not working, so it still shows $0.  For those who made a donation, hopefully you have received an electronic receipt, which you can claim back from the taxman.  Again, thanks.nondisclosed_email@example.com (BRETT72)Thu, 12 Mar 2009 07:32:39 +0000 Re: Relay For Life - Help needed.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2025092,from=rss#post2025092https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2025092,from=rss#post2025092I've just hit the submit button on this very worthy cause. She is also about to undergo chemo and radiation therapy in an attempt to better her outcome.  This weekend (14 March 2009) an event known as the 'RELAY FOR LIFE' is being held around the state, whereby team walk/run for 12 hours, in an attempt to raise much needed funds and awareness for cancer.  A few fellow police officers have decided to form a team and raise some money and media attention for our local event.  So, this is where my good mates on the forum come into it. I was hoping to pass the hat around during the recent Wollombi trip, but time beat me to it.  I understand times are tough at present, but I was hoping to raise some money to give to the charity during this event. I have also set myself a goal of $500, where I will start the relay with fluro pink hair (which is the colour for breast cancer) and then finish the 12 hour event by having all my hair shaved off by one of the young survivors. The local media are going to cover this shave.  I have attached a link to the site for you to check out in the mean-time. We will be adding our team details to this site on Tuesday and I will then attach the direct link to our own team.  I would really love it, if you could spare a few dollars and donate to our team. These deductions are tax deductable, if you need to get rid of some pay before tax time. LOL.  Once again, thankyou for all your recent kind words and support during this difficult period. It has really been appreciated. Regards.
