Re: QR25DE aftermarket camshafts.

from what i can imagine, yes...

most people tend to advance cos they are after more top end power when going forced induction, but im sure the science works in reverse also.

personally i wouldnt want to attempt it myself, even armed with the service manual, but i dont think it would be that much of an expensive job.

the link to the ebay auction is here

Cam.

Re: QR25DE aftermarket camshafts.

currently building a decent hp qr, but previously played around ALOT with NA cam timing etc. Knocking the inlet cam back a tooth definitely give heaps more torque under 3500, but flattens right off above that. The new engine im building at the moment will be using stock cams from a 2007, 2007 crank, sleeves h beam rods forgies and all the top end stuff- springs retainers etc. im modifying the oil feed to run an external pump as my last qr actually s*** the bed because the o ring in the oil pickup split sucking air and threw a rod. Never again will i use the std oil pickup EVER in these engines

Hi Daniel,
If you want to know all there is to building high HP QR25DE engines I suggest you go over to the b15u forum as they use the same engines in their Sentra SER SpecV and many do drag racing with them, both turbo and NA builds.

Re: QR25DE aftermarket camshafts.

I would love to know this as well as I prefer torque over hp
to make the most of the qr original design parameters.
I will be happy with max hp at 5000rpm and max torque
at 2500-3000rpm than current 4k rpm etc.
