posticon Ti T31 Audio bluetooth stuck on "telephone"

Hi Guys
Having an annoying problem, bluetooth whiled paired and the phone crashed.
then the Ti T31 Audio bluetooth is stuck on "telephone".
Cannot get it off, even turn off engine for a couple fo hours and disconnect the audio fuse did not fix the problem. It is stuck on "telephone" and cannot turn off the audio deck either. I am effectively without a Audio deck now.

Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Thanks in Advance.

Have you tried turning off bluetooth function from your mobile phone or delete the pairing?

yep done that. The stereo is stuck on "telephone", the only fucntion that is repsonsive is the volume control. Normally once there is no communication between the phone and the deck, it reverts back to normal and you can listen to music.

I checked the service manual and there is nothing that describes this fault. But there is a self-test procedure which requires that you turn-off the head unit. Are you able to to use the power button to turn the head unit off at all? If not, I suggest taking it to the dealer as it might have to be re-set manually.

Megatronic
I suggest that you pull both 'meter' gauges from the fuse box within the car, these will disable all instrumentation as most of the electrical in the dashboard.
Hope it helps.

Thanks for the replies,
I tried removing almost every single fuse besides the air bag and it does not help.
The on off button on the stereo is not responsive the bluetooth button near the ESP button is not responsive , you can only twist the volume control up and down and it registers volume levels. Will have to call Nissan tomorrow.

Try and hold the button down for 20 seconds or so, it seems to work with other systems of the T31. emoticon

Let us know what the outcome is with the dealer.

Hi Guys
The fix was to disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and it all cleared up and back to normal.

Re: Ti T31 Audio bluetooth stuck on "telephone"

Just had the same problem with my T31 - Radio stuck on "Telephone" and the only Audio button that worked was "eject" for CDs. Same non-functioning radio and bluetooth buttons.

Tried the 20 second thing (holding Radio on/off button for 20 secs) and removing the audio fuse (when I was on the road and before I read Mega's discovery).

Basically did all the things Mega tried too to no avail.

Thank goodness for this forum ALL Hail to Jalaski Image - Just read about the fix:

First tried removing the audio fuse and the two meter fuses for 5 minutes (didn't want to reset things like the trip computer)- no joy.

Disconnected the battery; but being me couldn't wait 5 minutes - waited 20 seconds and reconnected the battery and problem solved.

Solution - disconnect and reconnect the battery - maybe wait 20 seconds if you're not in a hurry emoticon emoticon emoticon
Top marks to Mega emoticon

Re:

Another possible fix would be to disconnect the sockets from the back of the radio plugs.Means that you have to pull the radio out which is only a 5 minute job anyway.
I love the little emoticon by the way.
