Re: new black paitned rims!!!!!!!

nice job mate, especially the masking off of the tyres, looks pro. i did the same thing to my mates liberty. but i used 800 grit paper to start and finished with 1200 grit (the course stuff i found left scratch marks). then sprayed the rims with brake caliper/drum paint because its self priming, heat proof (paint might burn and flake where its bolted to the rotor), scratch and chip resistant also. my two cents, top job cam

Re: new black paitned rims!!!!!!!

Car was in gear and i rolled it back as far as it would go (without turning over the engine). Also i cracked the wheel nuts with the car on the ground so there was so chance of me causing the car to roll off the block with the force of turning the nuts - they were only finger tight when the car was suspended.

in hindsight chocs wouldve been a lot safer emoticon

oh well. live and learn...

Re: new black painted rims!!!!!!!

Your neighbor who seems to have an exy must be quite excited to see yours transform into a beast right before his eyes LOL emoticon

By the way, get yourself the heavy duty jack from Kmart or SuperCheap for around $45 bucks and it'll be a much easier and safer job to jack the car up from the front or back when needed. I have never used the factory jack at all.
