Auto Window Lifters

Hi All,
Have done some searching on the here and cant find anything on auto window lifters when you lock the car. I did find a post on current/power still going to the windows after the car has been turned off, although im after when you lock the car (via your remote) if the windows are down (including sunroof) they will close.

I have also done a google search and couldnt find anything. I did go to strathfield car radios and they had one brand, although it only did 2 windows, which means I would need to get 3 units to cater for 4 windows plus the sunroof.

Does anyone have this added to their exy? Does anyone know of any brands or any retailers that sell these units?

Any thoughts/ideas would greatly be appreciated...or if a member would like to create a module for me I wont say no, and of course ill pay!!

thanks
Samuel

Samuel
There are some companies selling alarm systems that allow auto close of all windows that are down. When the remote is pressed, they automatically close to secure the vehicle.
I am sure that they will be able to retro fit just that part of the alarm system.

Re: Auto Window Lifters

Samuel, years ago this used to be a rare "up-market" feature of some alarms, but it might be alot more common now.

I'd approach a specialist car audio store as they tend to cater for more "up-market" requests, and also have access to alot of the exclusive overseas brands of alarm that offer this as a feature.

As Tony said, it wouldn't be too difficult to integrate the modules into your existing remote control if you didn't want to go to the extra expense of a fancy alarm. The window winder modules would probably work by receiving a signal (probably a 12v pulse) from the main alarm controller when you press the remote - something that probably already occurs in a black box to lock the doors.

Re: Auto Window Lifters

thanks for your comments.
The T31 diesel comes standard with an alarm from Nissan, not sure how good it is although I was just wanting to get a module/box to plug into the electric windows. From memory I think thats how the Pulsar was.

I will check with some "up-market" audio places and see what they say.
