Re: Sydney to Brisbane

Hi Julie,

Thanks for the suggestion. Had a look on Google Earth and Google Maps and it looks like a great road. There were a few photos on there of Ebor Falls and as you say that certainly appears to be worth a look. Definitely one to pencil in on the itinerary.

Thanks,

There's a road going west out of Kempsey thru the mountains and finishing up near Ebor Falls on the road between Armidale and Urunga/Coffs Harbour. I've driven the road about 4 times in/on various vehicles.

cheers emoticon

This can link with Thunderbolts Way as I previously mentioned and is a great scenic drive - also take time out to visit the trout hatchery near Ebor Falls if you haven't been to one - very educational.

Re: Sydney to Brisbane

This is a very good area to visit and have done the trout farm and if you like fish they show you all sizes and you get to throw food emoticon (fish food).
The way I was suggesting maybe too far out of the way but I noticed that you are going to be there on the 28th so if you want me to show you on a map where it is you may like to take the road home.

Regards Scot emoticon

Re: Sydney to Brisbane

Hi Scot,

Looks like there is plenty to do in the area. Really looking forward to the trip and it would be great if we could get 5 mins to look at some maps during the O'Rielly's trip.

See you on the 28th.

Cheers,

Thanks again for the tips. Going to have to sit down and work out what we can fit in. While the better half does enjoy the off road trips/tracks, especially if we can find some nice places for walks in the middle, I doubt she'll be too happy at spending the whole week off road. emoticon Might have to be a little diplomatic in how I broach this.
