My daughter calls the exy the 'new car'. I would personally call it awesome, but her name has stuck.

Re: Does anyone name their car?

I have always liked the idea of calling a car a female name starting with the same letter as the car, eg. my last car was a camry, so its name was Carla.

When it came to name the exy, I couldn't think of many female names that started with X, but ended up coming up with Stacey. Yes I know it doesn't start with X but, if you take the word exstasy, take away the X I came up with Stacey and it has stuck, I like it.

Sorry to upset you all, but although I have tried to beef it up, the wife still insists the damn frangipani stickers remain. She has even added a air purifier frangipani to the mirror and has a bloody frangipani on the keyring.

Haven't even got my Exy yet, and I am already being threatened with the cursed frangipani stickers emoticon emoticon

Lucky me she was only joking!!! emoticon

Re: Does anyone name their car?

The other half says to me last night whilst I was showing off the new memberships stickers that are coming up in the mail that we should name the Exy. I said, "Now after 7 years you want to name the Exy ??" Then she says what about "Exavier or Excelsior". I just looked at her blankly emoticon

Re: Does anyone name their car?

Ours is called Milou.
She is white and my wife wanted to name her after Tintin's dog. In the french version of Tintin the dog is called Milou. I thought that was fitting and OK, even though I am dutch-speaking Belgian, since the engine is Renault anyway.

Re: Does anyone name their car?

Hey Guys,

While we are waiting on our X-Trail i'm trying to avoid talking to the missus about naming it, until I come up with something Awesome that she'll have to accept. reason for this is i used to have a 05 Pajero GLX,

The first time she drove it, she beeped the horn and said "Horn sounds a bit girly... needs a name with Petunia".

It stuck... and was forever known as "Tuney" - short for Petunia... NEVER AGAIN!!!
