Hi Nate,

Thanks for the offer mate, but I can't get these bash plates copied locally due to patent copyright (which I am obligated to protect as well) and as much I'd love to get them manufactured locally, I know their price will probably triple if I go down this path, as local labour is pretty expensive and the market is not that huge.

Re:

Hi Guys,

All T31 Bash Plates (from the online shop) are now GONE!

With the state of the Aussie Dollar and the conversion rate, it is not viable for me to import any more of them for the time being, so it could be quite a while before I am able to stock them.

Please feel free to get creative and approach local businesses who might be interested in manufacturing them locally and also please don't hesitate to contact me if you need the Forum's support to add a bite more weight to your case.

Re: T31 bash plates (Full Undercarriage Protection Set)

Bugger. I was hoping to purchase the full set of Bash Plates for my T31. Totally understand what the Aussie Dollar has done to the cost of importing.

Does anyone know of any other options for purchasing a full set of bash plates? I see Pedders sell a set but they don't look nearly as good as what this site was selling.

Regards,

Chris

The ones Pedders are selling are the ASFIR 6mm alloy plates. They are tough as hell. I got the ASFIR front one to replace the 3mm steel and it hasn't got a dent after a nice bang on a rock. I don't go easy on the tracks. lol.

I called Pedders today. Are they right that there is only the front guard available for the T31 auto diesel? I was really hoping for the full set of 3 like Jalal was selling emoticon

Possibly since it's not a high demand item. To order them it takes a while if Pedders don't have it in stock. I got the only one available in Australia when it arrived. Mine are still for sale. I just don't have time to get freight quotes though. Check the for sale section.

Re: T31 bash plates (Full Undercarriage Protection Set)

Hi All, I phoned Pedders back in July about a front bash plate, and I was told it was made with a 4mm thick alloy. When I took it out of the box, I measured it with vernier calipers and found that it was under 3mm thick. When I phoned them saying that I received a thinner one than they told me over the phone, they said thats the only thickness it comes in. In saying that, it has taken a few good hits, and it has barely been marked. I had to bend the front outer edges up, but yes, I would buy one again. Thats the only plate they supplied at the time, and when asked about the rear plate, they said that there wasn't any demand for one. After tearing one side of the rear bumper at Blacksmiths Beach, I made a rear SKID plate and secured it from the diff, with 2 z brackets i made out of flat bar, to the bottom of the bumper bar. I cut the scoop part of the rear bumper off with a stanley knife. It is more of a skid plate than bash plate, but it does offer some protection to the spare wheel well, and also helps prevent sand from getting up into the bumper. Eventually, I,m going to make a diff plate. Hope this helps.

Mine is definitely not 3mm. It's much thicker than 3mm. About 6mm. It's in the shed but will take a photo when I have time tomorrow.

Re:

Front Asfir 6mm Alloy plate and rear 3mm steel plate. Visually, difference can clearly be seen without taking measurements.

Re: T31 bash plates (Full Undercarriage Protection Set)

My apologies, my mistake. My plate is a TJM. It is only 3mm but still a good plate. I remember going into Pedders asking about a front plate, but they were out of stock back then too. I needed one so I bought it, but I wish I saw yours for sale.
