Re: T31 bash plate

Attention all T31 owners this has been said before but time and time again since I have had the bash plate it has taken some really hard hits and has done it's job really well.

So grab the last one before some else beats you to it emoticon

Regards Scot

Re: T31 bash plate

Did the front of your bash plates line up with the plastic moulding from the front bumper or is there supposed to be a gap there?

Apart from that the longest part of this operation was unwrapping the parcel, followed by removing the old gaurd.

It shoud sit flush with the plastic moulding as seen here:

Make sure you slide the bash plate under the heads of the bolts to lock in place and then tighten them.

Re: T31 bash plate

I think i got it in there properly, nice and solid. I was jsut wondering about the holes in front of the plate, they probably let water and sand out. Mine looks like yours so its probably OK.

Thanks again Jalal, Excellent, very impressed!

Re: T31 bash plate

Mike,

I am in negotiations and having a meeting with a local (Australian) 4WD supplier who might be able to help us in this regard. I will advise later in February when I have my meeting with them.

Re: T31 bash plate

Hi guys, need some comments from forumers who have installed this bash plate.

I noticed from the other For Sale thread that there's some sound insulation for the original T31 bashplate from Nissan (thanks dronus for the pic and the narrative)Link

How does this bash plate perform in terms of sound insulation compared with the stock bash plate? Better or worse or negligible difference?

Re: T31 bash plate

The insulation is there on the plastic nissan bash plate to prevent it being damaged by heat of the exhaust pipes and to reduce rattle. It has nothing to do with sound insulation I believe.

The metal bash plate has two soft pads (the red circles) that stop the bash plate from vibrating.

oh ok, even then so, is there any noticeable difference as far as sound insulation is concerned after you installed yours?
