Re: Revhead Kev does O'Riellys
Thanks Scot and Dave for the prompt replies and info. No worries about the offroad side of things, our Exy has done a lot more than the designers ever intended, just ask Jamie about the trip to Landcruiser Mountain Park!
See you all tomorrow Chris

Re: Revhead Kev does O'Riellys
Good stuff guys, am really excited to see such a huge turn-out and hope you all have fun. Once again our exy forum has proved its worth in bringing so many xtrailers (and non-xtrailers) together.
Enjoy the day and I can't wait for the pics!
P.S. I'll be the first to congratulate you if the NSW record goes to QLD and it'll be an awesome finish for 2008 for sure
Oh, forgot to mention, here is your logo for this trip

Possible couple extra Xtrails and 3 other 4wd's
Meetup at Zupps Nissan ay 9am for photo shoot and introductions (hopefully Beaudesert Times will be there for photos). Any one who has not signed the forum flag should make time to come to my car and sign off on that.
If anyone has any spare handheld UHF's and would not mind lending them to anyone who doesn't that would be great. We will start out on channel 17 and move to another one if needed.
Lunch, there is a cafe as people have said or bring your own, camp chairs and picnic rug may come in handy.
As I will be leading and it will be a long trail of cars so for the courtesy of others, if anyone needs to stop for anything or you see any good photo opportunities, let me know and I will stop the convoy. I will need a volunteer to be 'tail end charlie'. I would recommend we drive with our parking lights on whilst in convoy. I will let everyone know if I am stopping for anything so keep your ears open and it would be best if we limit the conversation to the track/drive for the day.
There is a gate at the start of Duck Creek Road where we will need to stop and make a minimum $2 donation, the 'tail end charlie' driver will need to close the gate.
When we reach O'Riellys, we will find a suitable place to park and get some more photos and then break for lunch. We will then drive back down the trail and finish up at the council park next to the swimming pool and say our farewells. As I said in my previous post, if it is raining or the road is closed, we will backtrack through Beaudesert and Canungra and go up the bitumen road.
Really awesome response guys and should all be proud of the effort each and everyone has put into this day. I know I will be stoked leading such a fantastic convoy.
See you all in the morning. And, here's to breaking the NSW record

Re: Revhead Kev does O'Riellys
15
Hows that for a coincidence; when I first rang the Beaudesert Times, I told them that there would be about 15 XTrails, there for the meetup.
I was only taking a guess at the number that would be there.
Great to see so many turning up for the day, (Still room for more to join in.)
As Jamie said; everyone should be proud of the efforts, they have put in to making this a great day out.
Fantastic to see so many come along, to say Hello to Kev, while he is visiting the area.
I know I'm looking forward, to taking part in such a big convoy of Exy's. (What a buzzzzz!)
