Toolangi Day Trip

Spent some time over the weekend pre tripping the route for this day trip in a couple of weeks. Took these photos on one of the tracks. Ruts were very deep and continued around a bend and up a steepish section which would have required a modified low range vehicle to have a chance of passing through. We turned back and continued on another path.

Looks like I made the right choice in replacing my recovery gear.

Re: Toolangi Day Trip

Not a warning guys, just thought i would show how a track changed draumatically in a short distance. Up until the position where we were located the track was basically flat with a little mud in spots. We came to this rutted bog and realised no GO for the EXY, had enough room to make a 6 point turn and head back.

We actually didn't use any recovery gear for the proposed route, most terrain was a solid base with a few softer sections here and there. Will write a brief report in the appropriate section after the event.
