There probably is a thread about this but couldn't find it.
Do you know if the T31 is susceptable to the butterfly screw dilema?
Tony

There isn't a thread for this for the T31 (yet), the information about this is being posted about the T30 in the recall thread. I haven't seen the internal of the enhanced QR25DE engine which the T31 is using to tell you for sure if Nissan has addressed this design fault or not. I guess we will find-out soon when pics of the engine internals will start to pop-up on the internet, until then, sit tight emoticon

Oil leaks from obvious places like the sump plug is not what I am worried about. I am worried about this engine using too much oil as a possible result of damaged pistons which we all know comes from the dreaded butterfly screws getting loose and damaging the side walls.

Laura, how's the exy handling in terms of power? Does it feel healthy to you on take-off and cruising under load (i.e. air-con on)?

Hi Jalal,

There is no blackening around exhaust, looks healthy under there. Feels good to take off and have not been using O/D anymore as it tends to throw itself up and down like a typical 4 cyl auto. Air con gives no threat to power she seems ok there.

Compared to my sv6 ute she is slow

Compared to a V6 ute, even my exy will be slow LOL emoticon

Am glad to hear that there is no impact to power, seems like the typical oil leaks is your problem then and this can be fixed in no time.
