Re: Dronus's Diesel Dirt Destroyer

Dronus
I can't get the pics you put up but I'll take your word for it.
It looked like it was made from steel in the other pic. Must have been the angle it was on.

Also I radio guy was telling me that a UHF radio ariel works better attatched to the rear of the car, near the roof. He says that it uses the roof of the car as a grounding platform to send and recieve a signal.
Attatched to a bull bar/nudge bar, it can't properly bridge the distance between the bar and the bonet.
I have always had mine on the bar and never had any dramas.

edit, spelling

Wow, that didn't take long at all to get to you.

I bet you had fun unpacking it which usually takes longer than installing the bash plate itself emoticon

Re: Dronus's Diesel Dirt Destroyer

Few other bits added over the past few weeks.

The headrest monitor / external dvd player combo didnt work too well so i grabbed these all in ones. They have individual dvd players (that also play div-x etc) as well as play from usb drives. They have IR dual channel transmitters for IR headphones, as well as cable earphone output. The FM transmitter is a nice touch (they can also uplink to each other) so are the games.

Also got all of the heavy duty cabling in for the fridge. I have a battery isolator under the bonnet so that it only charges when the main battery is full. The charger is a Waeco unit which resticts the current to 8A to prevent damage to the SLA batteries.

Also got a roof pod to put all the light stuff in, sorry about the photo, it was getting dark!

I am really excited about an upcoming addition, stay tuned!

Re: Dronus's Diesel Dirt Destroyer

I am really looking forward to it, and to meet up with you NSW folk while im over there.

Its going to be hard to leave Sydney without at least a few other bits from the shop, thinking about the LED step lights, and/or mirrors as well as the main reason for coming over emoticon

The led mirror covers and led mirror lenses would add that touch of class to your exy emoticon

I love these as a feature of my exy now and do not regret fitting them emoticon
