Re: loafer's ride

Gas struts (bonnet) installed.

Image Image Image

Aluminium brackets to be replaced later when more time available, and painted (electric blue - top and black - bottom) to blend in. Struts have not been gassed up to their maximum pressure, due to non-steel brackets and didn't want to push the bonnet up at the back (above the line of the side fenders). Although the bonnet does not self-lift, it does lift very easily. Safety is paramount.

It's not too late at all Stephen, as you can still replace any of the 4 photos submitted by you at any time before the deadline.

Re: loafer's ride

Hey Stephen,

The pic of your exy with the trailer is a nice shot.

You look like what we did, as per went out on a trip and the car stayed clean and then you come home go on a day trip and the car is a mess emoticon (which is a good thing)

Both photo's are great.

Regards Scot

Re: loafer's ride

Replaced all factory supplied Dunlops today with (5 x 225/60/R17) Yokohama Geolander 12 AT's. Immmediately upon getting in the car, it seems that the ride is a fraction higher (which I'm pleased about).

I'll load up some pics of the new rubber on the weekend and also the wheel alignment report.

Had to change to the GO 12's because no other tyre company supplied this size configuration and I didn't want to put "illegals" on, given my latest run-ins with bodies of governing authority emoticon

Re: loafer's ride

Had a couple of spare hours this afternoon, so I thought I'd load the pics today.

Firstly (in case anyone is interested - Dunlop ST 20's with 35,000kms on them)
