Moe, please use the site search feature to locate existing threads about rust proofing. Please keep this thread on topic, as we would like to have any specific subject covered in one place rather than have them scattered around the forum. Thanks.

Re: Local Brisbane day trip

Thanks Jalal,

Pretty much similar to a car club I once was in.

I would like to have Jamie as the lead car,

I am better in the middle as I fall into big holes emoticon

I have got my recovery pack this time and a small axe as well.

Regards Scot & Wendy

Re: Local Brisbane day trip

I think Stephen as the original organiser of this event should take the lead. Unless you have any serious reservations Steve???

I have a UHF, I'll make sure I get new batteries for it this trip and if you have one Scott then we are set, any more is a bonus.

I don't mind going second or last or wherever, happy to get out for a drive.

I think confirmed numbers so far are 4

Loafer - Stephen
BlackThunda - Jamie
Freeewill11 - Scott
Robbo001 - Dave

Hopefully Moe will come and any more between now and the weekend! All welcome now y'all hear!

I must say, I'll be a little left out cause if my guess is right it will be one lonely old Black T30 and 3 Blue T31's - come on guys.

P.S, it's a shame you're up the coast this weekend Woody, I would have loved to see your car and the audio system. I was talking to Paul and he said it's finished now. Any chances of putting pics up on your member's ride page?

Will try the search function more often.
Actually part of my question was if it is a good idea to bring an xtrail to this trip which has no rust protection?
My xtrail has no rust protection or nudge bar, or two bar emoticon
So just wanted to know if I should think of coming along or not

Re: Local Brisbane day trip

Rust proofing certainly won't help or hinder you and these boys and gals won't take you anywhere dangerous Moe.

Incidently, rust proofing isn't worth spending a cent on and one of the best ways to protect your car against rust is to use fish oil (but it smells). Well thats what a guru on disimilar metals told me.

Go along Moe - you'll get to know your car a whole lot better and have a lot of fun in the process... with or without the acessories.

Moe,

If it hasn't rusted since 2004, it won't fall apart after just one trip emoticon

With this track being rated as "easy" I reckon it is the perfect opportunity for you to go along to explore the capabilities of your exy and ask questions about it and am sure the guys will help you out.

Just make sure that your insurance policy is in order.

We would be thrilled to have you come along, Moe. Great opportunity to meet up some newbies and not so newbies.

And don't worry about the lack of nudge bar - with Jamie leading the way - he'll clear the tracks for us emoticon .

Hope to see you on Sunday.
